Matthew 22:37-40, “Jesus said to him, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with
all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is
like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’. On these two commandments hang all the Law and
the Prophets.”
1) We make Him known. John 17:3, “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true
God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
2) We abide in Him. John 15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in
him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
3) We worship in spirit and truth. John 4:23-24, “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the
true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to
worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
4) We live by faith. Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but
Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who
loved me and gave Himself for me.”
5) We are people of prayer. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in
everything gives thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
Ephesians 4:11-17, “And He [Jesus] gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists,
and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the
edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the
Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we
should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the
trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may
grow up in all things into Him who is the head – Christ – from whom the whole body, joined and knit
together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does
its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. This I say, therefore, and
testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles Walk, in the futility of
their mind...”
Mark 16:15, “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature
(G2937, ktisis, original formation, creation creature ordinance).”
Matthew 28:18-20, “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me
in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations (G1484, ethnos, tribe,
non-believing people), baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you
always, even to the end of the age.”
